Songkran festival, informally called “the Thailand water festival,” is the Thai New Year and is celebrated from 13 April to 15 April. It is one of the biggest festivals in Thailand which draws millions of tourists every year.
Songkran marks the beginning of the new solar year and the start of summer. The celebrations include water fights and other events. There are the largest water fights In Bangkok at Khao San Road and Silom Road.
With the Thai New Year Songkran celebration, some places work in limited hours for this special week and closing for a few days so everyone can go out and celebrate this festival!
