Ko Pha-ngan is best known for its Full Moon Party at Haad Rin Beach which draws over 30,000 travellers and partiers to the island each month. Ko Pha-ngan has two islands: the larger Ko Samui to the south and the smaller Ko Tao to the north.
Ko Pha Ngan Island is not far away from Samui Island where is one of the Thailand’s leading tourist attraction. Ko Pha Ngan is located 70km from the mainland and just 12km from Ko Samui. In addition, taking a ferry to Tao Island to sightsee coral reef and aquatic animals is convenient.
Because of its topography, the population hugs the coastline. The mountainous interior is generally inaccessible. More than half the island designated as national park and Ko Pha-ngan has more than 80 km2 of relatively unspoiled rain forest with diverse flora and fauna.
